Mech Mocha

Founded in 2013 by three IIITM Gwalior alumni - Arpita Kapoor, Mohit Rangaraju and Shilp Gupta - Mech Mocha was part of the iAccelerator batch. The company claims that their application named HELLO PLAY is India’s first real-time multiplayer social-gaming platform. Users can play games like ludo, carom, cricket etc. and compete with players online. Mech Mocha is leveraging its Indian market insights and in-house technology platform to culturalise narratives and customise gameplay for Indian audience. The start-up continues to heavily invest in an integrated technology platform with capabilities in behavioural analytics, multiplayer, LiveOps and monetization. In December 2015, Mech Mocha raised $1 million in seed funding from Blume Ventures and e-commerce market leader Flipkart. In 2017, the startup raised $5 million from Accel Partners, Shunwei Capital., and existing investor Blume Ventures. In March 2019, Mech Mocha entered into a strategic partnership with US-based Agora.io, a video and live broadcasting platform.
