Mangalore, Karnataka based MicroDegree is an ed-tech platform working towards democratising technology and job ready skills for Bharat. Their vision is to empower local engineering talent from non-metro with foundational clarity in vernacular and connect them with right job opportunities at an affordable price. Founded in 2019, the team at MicroDegree had first-hand experience of teaching emerging technology through offline boot-camp program and effectively scaling up the cohort to online platform. They believe in learning technology in the local language by emphasizing on relevant analogies, examples and thereby making fundamentals strong with deep concept clarity. Their motto is to make emerging technology affordable for students and early professionals across regions irrespective of their educational backgrounds. MicroDegree was one among the Winners at Startup Karnataka's flagship Elevate-Call2 program held in March '20 (Top 93 out of 1000+). MicroDegree's platform has on-boarded 2100+ users in 75 days of platform launch and looks forward to enter new language markets.
