Pace robotics is a construction robotics startup incubated at SINE_ IIT-Bombay and backed by Pidilite Industries. They are building modular multitasking robots for advance construction tasks and to digitize execution data in real time. Their first product is a robot for plastering, painting and putty of wall and ceiling in building interiors. The robot can do these tasks at 10 times faster speeds and 3 times lower costs compared to traditional methods. They completed their first customer trials for painting and putty in July 2022 and will start commercial pilots from November. They will provide the robots in a pay per use model to the sub-contractor segment, who will take up projects with builders and general contractors. They have received pilot interests from over 20 builders including Sobha, Mahindra Lifespace, Hines, Rohan Builders & Emaar. They have also received interests for strategic partnerships with material manufacturers for paints & plaster.
