Gurgaon, Haryana based Raw Leaf Story was started with a conviction to grow their own food in their fertile farmlands in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh with simple back-to-the-roots farming practices. Over time, they have learned that people termed these methods as organic farming and that their friends and family really appreciated their farm-to-table offerings. Today, they farm more than 100 acres of this bountiful Earth with an ethos of age-old crop cultivation and a mindset of new world technology that reflects in all their ways of farming. At each of their farms, they select crops suited to the local soil and water conditions that are monitored in regularly scheduled lab tests. Their seeds are fortified with herbal nutrients and grown with mineral rich underground water. To maximise aeration at the root level, they are sowed on raised beds instead of levelled fields. They fertilise their crops with a salubrious pairing of fortifying organic manure and an ancient Panchgavya recipe, a microbial bio-culture of cow dung, lassi, besan and gurr. They produce their own vermi-compost by doing vermiculture on site and their modern drip irrigation systems conserve water for long term sustainability. They spare neither cost or effort and their rewards are the healthy and nutritious crops that find their way to the table.
