Bengaluru based Strata is a real-estate investment startup that allows for fractional investments in premium commercial properties
Founded in May 2019, Strata is designed to help reduce the high capital requirement for investors, bring in expertise and introduce liquidity to an otherwise rigid marketplace. Strata facilitates co-ownership and manages the property on behalf of investors (including tenancy) and provides seamless exit. In the interim, investors are free to transfer their ownership at current property prices through the startup’s tech enabled platform. Through its platform, Strata allows investors to diversify their investments, removes the hassles of property management and provides liquidity to an otherwise illiquid asset class. In March, 2020 the startup raised $1.5 million funding in a seed round led by SAIF Partners and Mayfield India.
