Wipro launches GenAI centre in partnership with IIT Delhi
Wipro has launched a new centre of excellence on generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) in partnership with IIT Delhi. The Wipro CoE on GenAI is anchored within the Yardi School of Artificial Intelligence (ScAI) at IIT Delhi, which will support foundational and applied research, nurture talent, and more.
The CoE will serve as an R&D hub, bringing together Wipro researchers with ScAI faculty members and graduate students to address at-scale real-world problems. Wipro CoE teams will jointly work on building innovative solutions using AI, ML, and other technologies.
According to Wipro, the partnership underscores its commitment to driving ongoing innovation in emerging technologies and is part of the company’s $1 billion commitment to accelerating AI-led innovation as part of the Wipro ai360 ecosystem.
Tejas Networks bags Rs 7,492 Cr order for BSNL 4G/5G network
Tejas Networks, the homegrown networking products company, has received a purchase order from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) worth Rs 7,492 crore to supply its latest 4G/5G RAN equipment for about 100,000 sites for the 4G/5G network of BSNL, which will be executed during the calendar years 2023 and 2024.
The company said it has executed a master contract for supply, support, and annual maintenance services of its Radio Access Network (RAN) equipment for BSNL’s pan-India 4G/5G network with TCS.
Tejas Networks CEO Anand Athreya said, “Our cutting-edge portfolio of baseband and radio products will enable BSNL to roll out a scalable and cost effective network that meets world-class performance and quality standards. This also furthers our mission to create India’s first global-scale telecom and networking products company with an end-to-end suite of wireless and wireline offerings.”
Ooredoo Group selects Tech Mahindra, Google Cloud for digital transformation
Tech Mahindra has bagged a deal from Ooredoo Group, a communications company, which has got its presence in Middle East, North Africa, and Southeast Asia.
The IT company will be the implementation partner for Ooredoo’s digital transformation, which will be enabled by Google Cloud technologies. Ooredoo’s IT operations will be modernised by implementing a digital platform-based approach that aims to enhance performance and drive value across the regions it operates.
Apigee, Google Cloud’s API management platform, will aid Ooredoo in accelerating its digital transformation and enhancing customer experience, while Tech Mahindra will carry out the project across all Ooredoo's operating companies.
Through the partnership, Ooredoo Group will leverage Apigee to help stimulate innovation and diversify revenue streams beyond traditional offers.
Engati unveils enterprise level GenAI platform for conversational automation
, an AI-powered conversational solutions company, has unveiled eSenseGPT, an enterprise-level GenAI platform for conversational automation.
According to the company, the platform can leverage the power of multiple LLMs like GPT 4 and Bard AI and has natural language understanding capabilities, enabling it to comprehend context, nuances, and user intentions.
Engati claimed that eSenseGPT can be deployed in a very short time with features enabling improvement in performance and productivity while providing hyper personal responses that is scalable.
