Wipro sees 11% rise in net profit in Q1FY26, while revenue remains flat
Wipro offered a tepid outlook for Q2 FY26, expecting its revenue to be in the range of $2,560 million to $2,612 million.
IT services provider Wipro reported an 11% rise in net profit for the three months ended June 2025, even as its revenue showed no appreciable increase and signalled a muted future outlook.
Wipro beat analysts' expectations, as it clocked Rs 3,330 crore in net profit for Q1 FY26 compared to Rs 3,003 crore in the same period a year ago. This sharp rise was largely aided by lower costs in selling and marketing expenses, general administration, as well as favourable currency movements.
Nonetheless, its revenue growth remained flat as it recorded Rs 22,135 crore for Q1 FY26 compared to Rs 21,964 crore a year ago.

On the performance of the company, Wipro CEO Srini Pallia said, “In a quarter shaped by macroeconomic uncertainty, clients prioritised efficiency and cost optimisation.” However, he remains confident about the future outlook, especially in the second half of the fiscal year.
In Q1, Wipro recorded a total booking of $5 billion, while the total contract value of large deals stood at $2.7 billion. Pallia remarked that many of Wipro's large deals will start delivering revenue in the next couple of quarters.
It saw improvement in its operating profit margins, which rose to 17.3%—an 80 basis points increase over the last year. Wipro CFO Aparna Iyer said, “Our cash flow conversion remained strong with operating cash flows at 123% of our net income.”
The company also declared an interim dividend of Rs 5 and said it endeavoured to provide dividends at least twice a year.

In terms of US dollar figures, Wipro saw its Q1 FY26 revenue at $2,587.4 million compared to $2,625.9 million in the same period a year ago.
Meanwhile, Wipro offered a tepid outlook for Q2 FY26, expecting its revenue to be in the range of $2,560 million to $2,612 million.
On the impact of artificial intelligence (AI), the Wipro CEO said the technology was no longer a niche application, but it is reshaping industries. The company has increased the deployment of AI solutions across industry segments.
Employee headcount at the end of Q1 stood at 233,232, down 114 employees compared to Q4 FY25. The company intends to hire around 10,000 freshers in the current fiscal.
