Everpure sees growth momentum sustaining in India
India has become a key R&D hub for Everpure globally and the presence of AI fluent talent is sustaining the growth trajectory.
Everpure, a global storage technology company formerly known as Pure Storage, expects to maintain its growth momentum in India.
Everpure has had a go-to-market presence in India since 2018 and expanded its footprint with the launch of its R&D centre in 2022. Today, the India centre has evolved beyond a traditional R&D unit into a full-stack innovation hub encompassing engineering, sales, and G&A functions.
In an interaction with EnterpriseStory, Niki Armstrong, Chief Administrative and Legal Officer, Everpure said, “The talent here is absolutely on par with our global centers.”
The other R&D hubs of Everpure are located at its headquarters in California and Prague. Now the company is expanding both engineering and non-engineering roles as it believes AI-led transformation, coupled with continued investment in talent and innovation, will drive its next phase of growth in India and globally.
According to Armstrong, the teams in India are leading end-to-end product development from concept to customer deployment across areas such as AI, enterprise data cloud, and platforms like Portworx. Everpure continues to invest heavily in innovation, allocating approximately 20% of its revenue to R&D, reflecting its positioning of storage as a high-technology domain rather than a commodity.
Armstrong said the company’s confidence in India is underpinned by the strong AI talent density and engineering depth.
On the changes due to artificial intelligence (AI), the Everpure executive sees this as a productivity enabler rather than a workforce disruptor.
She emphasised that AI is not the root cause of disruption in the tech industry but an “accelerant” that is reshaping how work gets done. Armstrong underscored the growing need for employees to become “AI fluent,” positioning it as a core capability across roles from engineering to legal, HR, finance, and IT.
“At Everpure, we see AI as a tool to remove friction from workflows and enable teams to focus on higher-value, strategic work,” Armstrong noted. The company is actively experimenting with AI use cases across functions, while maintaining that human judgment and ethics remain irreplaceable.
A key pillar of this transformation is workforce upskilling. Everpure is rolling out tailored AI training programs through its Talent Transformation Team, with modules designed for different employee personas from early-career professionals to senior executives. In addition, the company plans to launch an AI-enabled coaching platform for managers to support leadership development in an increasingly AI-driven workplace.
