AMS expands Pune GCC to drive global growth from India
The expansion comes as the UK-headquartered HR services firm scales its India workforce to support rising demand across key international markets, including EMEA, APAC, the Americas, and the United Kingdom.
AMS, the UK headquartered human resources services firm, has expanded its India-based Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Pune, reinforcing the country’s growing importance as a strategic talent hub for its global operations.
The move comes as the company scales its India workforce to support rising demand across key international markets, including EMEA, APAC, the Americas, and the United Kingdom.
India’s GCC ecosystem continues to expand rapidly, with over 1,700 centres currently, and projections of nearly 2,500 by 2030. Companies are increasingly leveraging India not only for cost efficiency but also for access to specialised talent, digital capabilities, and scalable global delivery models. AMS’ expansion aligns with this shift, positioning India at the centre of its global strategy.
The company's Pune GCC currently employs around 330 professionals, and it is expected to grow to over 400 by the end of 2026. Further expansion is planned in line with client demand. The expanded centre will focus on client service delivery, including recruitment process outsourcing (RPO), talent intelligence, analytics, and digital enablement, operating on a 24x5 global model.
CEO Gordon Stuart said India is emerging as a global talent backbone, supported by a workforce of nearly 2 million professionals across GCCs. He added that AMS sees India as a critical hub for building AI-enabled, skills-based hiring solutions.
Following a review of six cities, Pune was selected for its strong talent ecosystem, stable cost structure, and proximity to Mumbai. The expansion, initiated in 2024, will now focus on scaling specialised capabilities and supporting integrated global workforce solutions.
