Digital tech company Anaptyss bets on AI to drive value-led growth in BFSI
Anaptyss is betting on AI to unlock new revenue streams as BFSI firms move beyond pilots and focus on productivity and business growth. The company says its future growth will be driven by value, not headcount.
Anaptyss, the US-headquartered digital technology company with a significant presence in India, sees artificial intelligence (AI) as a key growth driver as it adds complementary capabilities to its existing portfolio of solutions.
Founded in 2021, Anaptyss has a strong focus on the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector, providing domain-led managed services to the industry. The company is now leveraging AI to expand its offerings and tap into new growth opportunities.
“AI is not really going to cannibalise our revenues but it is a new source of revenue,” Anaptyss Co-founder & CEO Anuj Khurana told EnterpriseStory.
According to the CEO, the BFSI industry is no longer treating AI as a pilot project. Instead, companies are looking at how the technology can be leveraged to improve productivity and create new revenue streams.
However, BFSI is also a highly regulated sector, making governance a critical part of AI adoption. Khurana said that while there is growing interest in the technology, its use needs to be “guarded AI”, with humans remaining in the loop.
Large banks are already ahead in implementing AI solutions, but adoption remains a challenge for smaller regional banks. This is where Anaptyss sees an opportunity.
Khurana said the company is working to educate these institutions and create awareness about AI’s potential, while offering solutions tailored to their specific requirements. Anaptyss already has several AI solutions in its portfolio.
Anaptyss is currently operating on two tracks: continuing to provide managed services to its customers while simultaneously building AI solutions that can deliver greater value. According to the CEO, these AI solutions are already driving a 50-60% improvement in efficiency for the company’s BFSI customers.
“The real challenge is to build an AI solution with a strong domain expertise which solves the problems of our customers,” Khurana remarked.
According to the CEO, AI is likely to significantly change Anaptyss’ revenue mix in the future. He said the company’s growth will increasingly be driven by the value it delivers rather than by headcount.
Anaptyss’ India centres are playing a key role in this AI push. Khurana said employees based in Gurugram and Noida are involved in building the company’s AI solutions.
Anaptyss was founded on the premise of bringing together three elements—human capital, domain knowledge and digital frameworks—with the aim of delivering greater value to its customers.
