HCLTech opens advanced semiconductor Lab with Rs 185 Cr investment
This semiconductor lab of HCLTech will enable it deliver faster turnaround of solutions for its customer base.
Indian IT services company HCLTech has announced the launch of its advanced semiconductor Lab in Bengaluru with an investment of Rs 185 crore.
This 40,000 square feet lab will feature 25,000 sq ft of Class 10K and 1K cleanrooms, to deliver end-to-end post-silicon engineering, advanced testing and failure analysis. The facility is equipped with cutting-edge tools from Teradyne, Advantest, Keysight, Tektronix and Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., supporting research and development, pre-production and production qualification, enabling faster turnaround, superior quality and reduced complexity for global customers.
Aligned with HCLTech’s Spec2Parts business model, the lab provides a unified platform for electrical validation, automated testing, qualification and failure analysis, streamlining the journey from design specifications to finished semiconductor parts.
HCLTech said this lab will enable advancing semiconductor innovation and accelerating time-to-market for global clients and positions HCLTech as a pioneer among service providers in offering integrated semiconductor testing capabilities.

HCL said by closing critical gaps in India’s semiconductor landscape, the lab allows it to deliver faster, more comprehensive solutions, giving customers access to cutting-edge facilities and skilled teams, ultimately driving greater innovation and efficiency for clients and the industry as a whole.
The company said the lab is also set to achieve global certifications, including ISO 17025, ISO 9001, AS 9100 (Mil-Aero) and ISO 13485 (Medical). Its cleanroom houses the latest ATE testers, probes, qualification chambers and advanced failure analysis tools, including optical and electron microscopy and focused ion beam (FIB) systems.
