We got married thanks to digital media and information technology. Thanks to shaadi.com. So it was only a matter of time that we turned the matrimonial alliance into a business venture too. After working together as boss and subordinate in a gaming company for 1 year, we realised we are not only a great team at work but can be a great leading duo. Thus the jump into the entrepreneurial bandwagon happened for us.
Mohit Bansal is an IIM-A alumnus and has worked with ITC, IBM and Ebookers before starting his own Online education business in 2006. He successfully set up and sold the business to Educomp Solutions, India’s largest education company to become a part of India’s first online card game company. After having lead the company to become the leading player in its domain, he has now started www.indiagift.in, an e-gifting company with a vision to making gifting accessible and economical to all.
A writer by heart and for 10 years by profession too- Rupal is now a Chief Idea Officer for India-gift.in. Mohit who has cracked the sales and operations in many organisations brings on board his experience of a serial entrepreneur. Having been a couple for 10 years, we now wish to take the relationship to a new level and be couplepreneurs. We wish to break the myth that husband and wife cannot work together. We wish to benchmark the gifting business. We wish to revolutionise everything that we do and do it in style. And we wish to do this together.
What Indiagift has achieved in the past 2 years has come out of endless hours of hard work and brainstorming. Our team has come up with many gifting firsts like delivering to Tier 4 and Tier 5 cities successfully. Our cake delivery team has pioneered delivery to small towns and made us the largest gift delivery network in India. The marketing team of Indiagift has been at the forefront creating many pathbreaking concepts like Singles Week, Love4All and AnytimeGift Series.
As a couple, from grappling over gifting ideas to meeting delivery deadlines to marketing innovations, we have kept the bar high for ourselves. From having the kids sleep endless nights in our office to working between school assignments to board meetings with kids making MOM's, we have conquered it all.
