[POETRY] - Urban Verses
I
There is no excess
In this endless ordeal
as the nights blend
into tired mornings
Let them sink in,
the slow transitions
of your multiple realities.
II
So, if you, while mortal sins
redeeming
Stumble again
upon a familiar vice
enticing
Give no thought
for the aftermath
There is no saving
from the depth to which
We keep drowning.
III
My heart,
a lovelorn rogue,
it wanders alone
Colliding and
trespassing
Carelessly and
outworn.
IV
What lies here as rubble
Was once a life's dream
Shattered and left behind
This rubble will clear soon
For another troubled youth
To build a dream on.
