Deepinder Goyal

Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Zomato

Before starting Zomato, Deepinder Goyal worked as a management consultant with Bain and Company in New Delhi. While at Bain, Deepinder witnessed the demand for menus and food ordering among his colleagues and conceived the idea of an online restaurant information service. In 2008, he quit to start Zomato (then FoodieBay) out of his apartment. Deepinder, who graduated with a mathematics and computing degree from IIT-Delhi in 2005, has overseen strategy and product development at Zomato.
