Rajnath Singh to flag off the first homeland security & defence expo on Sept 6
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate a three-day expo for defence and homeland security on September 6th in New Delhi.
The expo is being organised for the first time under aegis of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) with collective partnership from the ministries of Defence, Home Affairs, and MSMEs.
The objective of the expo is to make leading policy makers and luminaries from diverse defence segments take part with special focus on MSMEs in defence production and procurement.
More than 30 key panelists and policy makers will be sharing their views on how the policy will benefit the exhibitors, manufacturers, and MSME industry.
The expo will bring in over 200 Indian and multinational companies on one platform to enable engagement with the country's premier defence establishments.
Minister of State for Defence Subhash Ramrao Bhamre and MSME Minister Giriraj Singh, among others will preside over different sessions of the event, the chamber said.
According to media reports, this expo paves the way to achieve the dream of ‘Self Reliant Defence & Healthy Economy’. The expo cuts across various industries, including surveillance, cybersecurity, bulletproof jackets, robots, drones, hi-tech equipment, research and development, NSG and police modernisation.
