Speaking to The Assam Tribune, SEBA Controller of Examination Nayan Jyoti Sharma, said,
“We don't want to make any sudden changes by replacing the normal question papers with Braille ones. The new system has been introduced for the added convenience of the candidates. Other facilities like IX standard scribes to help them write with an additional one-hour would also remain intact.”
He added that visually impaired students get different question papers for maths and science.
“If the initiative is well received by the candidates this time, we will introduce Braille question papers in the General Maths paper as well,” he said.
