Launched in 2008, CarDekho.com is India’s largest auto portal website.

Founded by Amit Jain and Anurag Jain, who is the newest judge on Shark Tank India, the startup’s investors include the likes of Google, Capital, Sequoia Capital, HDFC Bank, and Times Internet. The company claims to sell one car every 4 minutes on average.

CarDekho provides users with the option to choose a vehicle that suits their needs. To aid with the same, it provides reviews written by experts, first-hand videos and pictures of the cars, price details, and researched comparisons.

The company has brand deals with approximately 3,000 car dealers in India, and has tied up with financial institutions such as HDFC Bank.

In 2021, the startup raised $250 million, entering the coveted unicorn club at a valuation of $1.2 billion—the first unicorn to be based in Jaipur.

In FY22, the autotech unicorn narrowed its losses to Rs 246 crore, on the back of growth across all business units and said it hopes to achieve profitability by FY24.
