DeHaat

Founded in 2012 by Shashank Kumar, Shyam Sundar Singh, Amrendra Singh, Abhishek Dokania and Adarsh Srivastava, DeHaat is an agri-tech startup that provides end-to-end solutions and services to the farming community in India.

The co-founders were affiliated to IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, NIT Jamshedpur, and IIT Dhanbad respectively.

The platform utilises cloud technology and Artificial Intelligence and operates in 12 Indian agrarian states, with over 11,000 centres and serving over 1.8 million farmers. This AI-enabled crop advisory exists for over 30 crops and in multiple regional languages.

Combining digital technology, data analytics, and on-the-ground support, the company provides a suitable environment for growth in the agri-tech sector.

The company provides information and access to various resources, connects farmers to markets, and helps them make informed choices. Some people work on-ground with farmers in rural areas. They are called Saathis. These Saathis act as mediators who connect with farmers and guide them.
