Jumbotail

Founded in November of 2015, Jumbotail are headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Co-founded by Karthik Venkateswaran and Ashish Jhina, it received its first Seed funding of $2 million in July 2016 from Nexus Venture Partners.

Jumbotail is a wholesale food and grocery platform/store that aims to provide full-stack services when it comes to “kirana” stores, etc. They enabled storefront delivery and payment collection for sellers who partner or work with them.

The company was established after the lockdown in India caused a rise in retail marketing, especially in the case of kirana stores. This particular sector accounts for close to 90 per cent of the retail market.

Jumbotail has a full-stack e-commerce model and a B2B marketplace set-up, a delivery supply chain network and the option of warehousing available to it. They have a fintech platform that aids with payment-related concerns their customers might have.
