Founded by former eBay executives Ashish Shah and the late Ambareesh Murty in 2012, Pepperfry is India’s leading online furniture and home decor marketplace. Headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, the company has altered the Indian furniture shopping experience.

Selling products ranging from a diverse selection of home decor, furniture, lighting, and kitchenware, it has four warehouses—Bengaluru, Jodhpur, Mumbai, and Delhi.

In 2020 Pepperfry partnered with Hettich, Bosch, Siemens, Kajaria, and other companies as it entered the home interiors market.

According to Crunchbase data, Pepperfry has raised nearly $300 million in funding, with their latest round in September 2023. Among the company’s investors are Bertelsmann, Norwest Venture Partners, Goldman Sachs, and Pidilite Industries Limited.

Additionally, it also has offline centres Pepperfry Studios where customers can visit, browse designs, and experience the products.
