Listen to everyone but believe in yourself: Rishi Sakhuja, Co-Founder and CEO, Fruit Box and Co.
The Proust Questionnaire is a questionnaire about one’s personality. It has its origins in a parlour game popularised by Marcel Proust, the French essayist, who believed that, in answering these questions, an individual reveals his or her true nature.
Rishi Sakhuja is Co-Founder and CEO at Fruit Box and Co, an e-commerce platform that has revolutionised the high-quality fruits and vegetables segment for primarily the B2C segment. In his current capacity, he supervises the operations of the various core departments such as sales, packaging, delivery operations and marketing.
After completing his Master of Business Administration in Finance and Financial Management Services, he worked in IndusInd Bank, where he was inducted as one of the youngest product managers in the industry. From there he went on to become the Director of Business Development at HDIL. While managing the land acquisitions for the organisation, Rishi obtained a first-hand perspective into the various farming processes such as produce, harvest, challenges, strength, current supply chain, etc.
Having acquired insightful essential know-how regarding farming-related activities, Rishi soon bid adieu to serve in the corporate world and jumped on to form his own supply chain brand that focussed particularly on fresh bananas. He then went on to collaborate with a pan-Indian banana-specific brand to develop the supply chain from a farm-to-consumer model. Later, he co-founded Fruit Box and Co, an online portal for premium fruits and vegetables.
