PM Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated the Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalaya, which is dedicated to 14 former prime ministers of India.

Moreover, the museum is a technologically-advanced display of the contributions and life of the country's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. PM Modi bought the first ticket via digital payment — Paytm EDC — to enter the Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalaya.

Located in Delhi’s Teen Murti Estate, the museum tells the story of India after independence and will showcase the rise of the country under every prime minister’s tenure. It will be open to the public from next week.

The building's design incorporates sustainable and energy conservation practices and is inspired by the story of rising India, moulded and shaped by the hands of its leaders. Its logo represents the hands of the people of India holding the Dharma Chakra, showcasing the nation and democracy.

Approved in 2018, the museum has been built for Rs 271 crore. It is built using cutting-edge and modern technology that will give a seamless and immersive experience to all its viewers.

Spread over 15,600 square meters, the museum has a total of 43 galleries, including the erstwhile Nehru Museum building. The museum uses archives such as collected works, important correspondence, memorabilia, speeches, personal items, and anecdotal representations of ideologies and different aspects in a thematic format.

The museum uses multi-touch, multimedia, augmented reality (AR), large LEDs and projectors, digital sculptures, and new-age media applications to depict the lives of every prime minister.
