Agri-Nutrients SABIC partners with ADM, BiOWiSH to support sustainable agriculture
It will enable farmers to launch a pilot project to promote sustainable agriculture using SABIC's bio-fortified urea during the 2023 agri-nutrient season.
Agri-Nutrients Saudi Arabia's Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) has partnered with ADM and BiOWiSH to help farmers achieve high productivity.
With these collaborations, and especially after receiving the world's first independent certifications for low-carbon ammonia and blue hydrogen from TÜV Rheinland Group, SABIC aims to help reduce the carbon footprint of the agricultural supply chain, stated a press release on Zawya.
It will enable farmers to launch a pilot project to promote sustainable agriculture using SABIC's bio-fortified urea during the 2023 agri-nutrient season.
The farmers will enroll in ADM's Re:Generations programme, which provides financial and technical assistance to producers embracing regenerative farming practices or recently trying it out.
Final call for applications to $100,000 TDefi and DMCC Web3 startup accelerator
The project aims to gather crucial data for emission reduction concepts and pave the way for a greener future by harnessing the power of biofortified urea.
Chemical manufacturing company SABIC offers a range of agricultural products. Its agri-nutrient products include the BiOWiSH bio-enhanced urea fertiliser based on a technology developed from previous peer-reviewed research.
The fertiliser uses cutting-edge technology to improve nutrient delivery to crops, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and enhance atmospheric carbon dioxide absorption, the company said.
