UAE's Silkhaus appoints Sabine El Najjar as founding general manager
Silkhaus, which provides asset owners with infrastructure tools for property management and monetisation, has more than 120 properties in operation.
In her new role at Silkhaus, Sabine, who is based in Saudi Arabia, will bring experience from the startup ecosystem and management consulting industry.
In line with the Saudi government's Vision 2030 transformation agenda, the country's real estate industry is expanding rapidly. Since 2016, the country's real estate and infrastructure projects have surpassed $1.25 trillion, with the government announcing housing projects worth $17.3 billion in September 2023.
According to Aahan Bhojani, Founder and CEO of Silkhaus, the platform has seen a 170% growth in managed properties due to the recovery in business and leisure travel, offering landlords an attractive 20–40% income increase compared to traditional rental options.
"As Saudi nationals invest in the Kingdom’s real estate sector, we are keen to partner with them and help them to successfully monetise their assets,” Bhojani said.
Silkhaus, a UAE-based platform founded in 2021 by Aahan Bhojani, provides asset owners with infrastructure tools for property management and monetisation, offering accommodation experiences to business and leisure travellers in MENA, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.
With more than 120 properties in operation, Silkhaus raised $7.75 million in 2022, focusing on the $14 billion short-term rental sector in Asia.
