Dorf Ketal has acquired the Intec business division of Sanmar Speciality Chemicals Ltd (SSCL). While o3 Capital advised the sellers on the transaction Ernst & Young Pvt Ltd worked on the buy side. The size of the deal has not be made public though. Among the world leaders in the business of organic titanates, poly vinyl formal and poly isocyanates Intec has its manufacturing unit in Dadra. The business employs close to 60 professionals with a full fledged R&D facility and has a strong export base.
Dorf Ketal Chemicals is a rapidly growing speciality chemical company globally. In less than 15 years, it has emerged as a leading supplier of speciality chemicals for downstream hydrocarbon industries and relevant ancillary industries. The acquisition by Dorf Ketal is expected to boost Intec’s business given Dorf Ketal’s focus on product innovation and manufacturing excellence.
