Exhibition of Rural women entrepreneurs - manufactured products started

A exhibition of products manufactured by rural women entrepreneurs was inaugurated at Vidyamanya Auditorium of Palimar Mutt, Car Street, Udupi, Karnataka here on Thursday September 10. The exhibition is organized by Women Entrepreneurs’ Association and sponsored by District Industrial Centre (DIC).

 

Shanta V Acharya, wife of state home minister Dr V S Acharya inaugurated the exhibition. Speaking on the occasion, Shanta Acharya said that women empowerment can enhance the self-confidence of women. Moreover, the society can prosper, if women get their due respect, Shanta said.


Meanwhile, Shanta urged the women entrepreneurs, to improve their economic status by availing expertise on self-employment and also making the optimum use of various government facilities. In today’s fast-paced world, the women are also expected to venture into small scale industries for their future well-being. 

 

DIC assistant director Somappa Nayak, Syndicate Bank senior branch manager Subramanya Bhat, women entrepreneur Renu Jayaram and Women Entrepreneurs’ Association secretary Sasikala were present.
