NIT-W Alumni's to Foster Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship at International Alumni Meet

NIT-W, International Alumni Meet in Warangal, Andhra Pradesh promises to be the biggest NIT-W Global Alumni Meet. This meet will bring together industry visionaries, thought leaders and alumni across the globe with a vision of building upon the work that NIT-W’ians have done across the globe! The Focus during the International Alumni Meet is to foster Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship amongst the students in NIT-W. Dr. R A Mashelkar, Chairman National Innovation Foundation, will be the chief guest for the foundation day.

The 3 day Meet to be held at the NIT-W campus will be attended by 1000 plus NIT-W alumni, over 3000 plus NIT-W students.

Dr. Y V Rao, Director NIT-W said the International Alumni meet apart from networking and rekindling of friendships, will also hold discussion on fostering Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship. The aim is create an environment and business support process that accelerates the successful development of start-up and fledgling companies by providing aspiring entrepreneurs with an array of targeted resources and services to produce successful firms.

The event will feature talk on how NIT-Wians can inspire, innovate, and transform India into a global economic power. The Home coming event will also feature a Walk by NIT-W present, past students and alumni on October 10 to mark the Institute’s foundation day and also share the joy and pleasantries with the citizens of Warangal.

Among the many distinguished speakers who will address the International Alumni Meet and the students at NIT-W will be Shri. D. Swaminathan, Member, Planning Commission, Dr. R.A. Mashelkar, CSIR Bhatnagar Fellow, Chairman, National Innovation Foundation, President of Global Research Alliance, a network of publicly funded R&D institutes from Asia-Pacific, Europe and USA including Shri. P. V Indiresan, President of Indian Academy of Engineering and Ex-Director of IIT Madras.

Over 1,000 influential NIT-Wians from around the world will gather for the Meet this year at NIT-W. The theme for this conference is “Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship”.
