"If I am not an actor then I will be a struggling actor in the industry" - Abhishek Bachchan : YS exclusive

Friday February 19, 2010 , 2 min Read

Abhishek Bachchan

Sunil Mohanty from YourStory.in speaks to Abhishek Bachchan at the sidelines of an event on acting, struggle and what it takes to succeed.“If I am not an actor then I will be a struggling actor in the industry,” says Abhishek Bachchan, taking some time out from his busy schedule. Abhishek further adds, that what he is now, is because of his family and through the struggles he faced during the initial years, the struggles early on in the career made him realise the importance of good performance for survival in the film industry.

Speaking about his entry into Bollywood, Abhishek admitted that he was lucky to be a mega star's son which enabled easy entry into the industry but Abhishek says, "getting entry is just one part but to be a success one has to rely on oneself. It requires dedication and unwavering persistence at all times". Abhishek further says, "being Amitabh Bachchan's son is a great thing but being labeled so always, is not good".

A word of advice from his own journey for our entrepreneurs and startups, Abhishek says, "there are no shortcuts, hard work, dedication and a high level of commitment are the sure shot ingredients to succeed.

We couldn't agree more with him, with the recent performances in Dostana and PAA, the actor is definitely marching ahead.

YourStory wishes him all the best and we look forward to the much awaited Mani Ratnam movie, Ravana, for some stellar performance from the evolved actor.
