Cleantech Open National Conference : July 22
Saturday July 17, 2010 , 2 min Read
The Cleantech Open National Conference will assemble the brightest and most talented minds to debate how cleantech entrepreneurship can power our economy back to life. Join us at the nation’s inaugural cleantech conference that will focus on spurring jobs in this crucial sector.Amidst the recovery from the recent recession, seeds of a brighter future are being developed by entrepreneurs with “game changing” clean technologies. This innovation is not unprecedented, but what is different this time? We are competing on a global scale against corporations and countries that have a multi-year head start. Governments around the globe are investing in huge capital expenditures, and yet the United States seems hesitant to step forward to similarly compete. The venture capital investment pool is too small for major infrastructure projects, and our capital markets are not making the risky investments required to face the challenges head on.
Faced with these challenges, we bring the brightest and most engaging minds to the table to discuss how we can ensure that cleantech leads the economic recovery, and that our most innovative entrepreneurs receive the support they need. Keynotes and panelists will address how to accelerate the cleantech revolution and encourage entrepreneurship, and will determine who owns the responsibility to make these things happen. Attendees and speakers will also have a discourse on the public and private sector roles, and how we can coordinate all parties to help in this massive effort for cleantech sector growth.
