Nexus Venture Partners invites entrepreneurs to Nexus Connect on February 18, 2011

Nexus Venture Partners, the leading early-stage fund, announces its first Nexus Connect to be held at Mumbai on February 18, 2011. Nexus Connect is a platform for entrepreneurs to spend a day with the entire Nexus team.This is an excellent opportunity for entrepreneurs to brainstorm new ideas in the context of their current business, pose their business challenges and understand various financing alternatives from the Nexus team. Entrepreneurs also have a chance to get funded under the Nexus Seed program if they satisfy criteria for seed investment.
Nexus has recently launched its seed stage funding program called “Nexus Seed” to fund high potential entrepreneurs who are building Technology and Internet companies. Through this initiative, Nexus will invest Rs. 20 lakhs to 2 crores ($50k-$500k) each in up to 50 companies over the next 5 years.

Apart from investing in early to early growth companies, Nexus has also been incubating and investing in seed stage companies since 2006. These include Sedemac, Scalarc and Vdopia among others. Many of these companies have gone on to raise further financing and build leadership positions in their markets.
