TwistFuture : Stock prediction through Sentiments

Stock Exchange has always been an enigma not only for the people who deal in it but also for those who don’t dare to do so. A lot of time and energy have been spent in trying to understand the Stock Exchange, how it works , what forces drive it and most importantly can we predict it.

All these factors intrigued Mr. Virat Khutal and Mr. Kapil Raj the founders of Twistfuture also. But the solution to this problem was not easy to find, as they tried analyzing the past data of stocks and tried to develop algorithms that can predict the stock exchange, if not perfectly then at least with an accuracy of 70-75%. But all the research of over 5 years went in vain. Whenever they felt that they have reached a solution just then the stock exchange used to change its pattern and all the hard work and calculations would seem meaningless.

In the meantime they started Twistfuture which is a mobile content developer and aggregation company and started developing mobile games and applications that were published through mobile operator portals around the world. But they were still intrigued by the stock exchange and still wanted to understand its mystery.

After observing closely they understood that the stock exchange is the resultant of the actions and sentiments of the people who are involved in it. So if there can be a tool that can take the sentiments of people about the stocks and analyze the data then we can have a system that will be perfect in understanding the stock exchange. There was no better way of doing this other than developing a mobile application where people can submit their sentiments about certain stocks and the stock exchange on the whole and then this data can be analyzed to understand the stock exchange and its working. With this thought Stock Sentiment was developed and launched on 10^th January 2011. The application is launched keeping the Indian Stock exchange in consideration and is available for free download though major Indian mobile operator portals Airtel, Aircel, Tata, Vodafone etc. and also though free web portals like Getjar, Mobango, Pocketgear etc. You can also download Stock Sentiment from the website www.stocksentiment.in and start sharing your sentiments about different stocks.
