Deal Aggregators of Indian Group Buying Sites: Dealies.in and Pallavi Roy

When we got a call from Pallavi Roy, student entrepreneur behind Dealies.in, we were pleasantly surprised and why not? She is based out of Germany and alongwith her friends there, she has built a robust platform aggregating the various deals being offered in India.

What is dealies?

We launched the website at the beginning of this year with the objective of providing group buying deals aggregating services to consumers. Thereby, we are addressing the need for an easy-to-use platform whereby a consumer can have an overview of all the deals offered by the different group buying portals, hence, allowing the consumer to be aware and get the best deals there are out there. We also want to be the definitive source for the concept of Group Buying, saving money and to render the concept a cult status through our blogs and merchant reviews. We use different, creative measures such as the Alexa ranking and the reviews section for the merchants, in order to aid the consumer in making the best possible decision.

We believe the above will be our USP relative to other deal aggregators.

Team behind Dealies

We are based in Berlin, Germany and we are a group of around 12, impassioned, mostly young students from all over the world studying discplines ranging from finance to bio informatics, hoping to provide a value added service. I, personally come from Kerala and I have recently graduated from a university here in Berlin, where I majored in Finance.

Challenges as a Startup

The current challenge that we are facing is substantiating our marketing efforts since we opened shop only 2 weeks ago, but we hope that with websites like YourStory and others..and through our marketing and promotion efforts - through blogs, press releases, facebook, SEO, twitter, etc we hope to build strong awareness and traction on Dealies.

Plans to raise money?

As of now we do not have any fund raising plans. Our future expansion plans include to operate and aggregate deals out of Asia, especially China, South America, North America and Russia.
