Join hands with Bangalore Twestival in aid of Snehadeep Trust for the Disabled

Twestival, the globally celebrated event in support of NGOs is set to be held on March 24, 2011. Currently in the second leg locally, Twestival is slated to be held in a total of seven cities, viz.: Bangalore, Cochin, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune. Each of these cities will host particular events and fundraise for eight different local NGOs.The Bangalore leg of the global festival will be held at the Manchester United Café Bar on the 24th of March, Koramangala in support of Snehadeep Trust for the Disabled and will have performances by rock bands Thermal and a Quarter and Parvaaz. The tickets are priced at Rs.300 (100% of ticket money will go to charity) and will be available for purchase online at http://www.eventnu.com/events/detail/10957 or http://bangalore.twestival.com

In 2010, Twestival India raised over INR 3,00,000 for the global charity Concern Worldwide in aid of Education. This year, this amount is expected to more than double in benefit of India based NGOs. Twestival has also partnered with GiveIndia, official Twestival India fundraising partner, to provide matching grants up to INR 2,00,000 to the top three cities that raise the most money/ attract the most number of donors.

“Twestival continues in benefit of local charities this year thanks to the huge volunteer efforts involved,” said Vaijayanthi KM, Regional Coordinator for India. “Twestival is 100% volunteer driven and all event costs are supported by sponsors ensuring the ticket money reaches the NGO.”
