If you’re looking to rent out a space that you own, would you post that information only online? The chances are, you won’t. Why? It’s simply because you understand that there is a huge demand for such an offering from people offline who access newspapers and local agents for such requirements.Kuchbhibikega (KBB) is an attempt to the bridge this gap between the offline and the online communities of our country. It is a tele-classifieds platform that lets people post and access advertisements from any place, at any time through their phone without using the internet.
The business idea of KBB is based on the basic premise that internet penetration stands at less than 10% of the population while tele-density has crossed 50%. Based on this,
KBB gives customers the option of searching not just for business listings, but also for product details, offered price, availability, etc. However, KBB is not an e-commerce platform, with all monetary transactions occurring between individuals and/or businesses.
Speaking about the startup’s vision, Neel Shah, Partner, Kuchbhibikega said, “We aim to provide a platform for people to buy/sell anything. But for now, we have started with 4 major categories - Properties, Vehicles, Electronics, Books. We plan to add more categories and go pan-India soon.” Neel Shah, an alumnus of IIM Kozhikode, is also the founder of SPOXCHANGE, a sports stock exchange.
