Facebook’s new feature being tested: The “Happening Now” feed
Tuesday June 14, 2011 , 1 min Read
The social networking giant has been constantly improving itself to make it much more user friendly and cater to all needs of its users. It started off testing a new feature called “Happening Now” that allows the user to view the recent activity done by their friends in real time.
It will be appearing on the right side of the Facebook page. It avoids a lot of confusion as it compacts all the updates and shows them a simpler version. Here is a sneak peek of how it looks. It changes the look and feel in someway as the routine poke, upcoming events, recommended pages are out of the scene here. A user can click on a particular message which can be viewed in a separate box on the same page without actually having to leave the page. Take a look.
It is quite obvious that it is very much similar to the way things happen on Twitter but there is no information about character limits on the updates. It is being experimented with only a “fraction of a percent” of Facebook users and will soon expand to the entire user group.Bhanu Teja Kurucheti | YourStory.in
