Google takes over PostRank

PostRank, a social engagement startup, which started in the year 2007 in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, has announced on June 3rd that it has been acquired by Google. The terms and conditions in the deal are not revealed though.Its entire staff will now be heading to Google’s Mountain view campus in San Francisco Bay Area to join the Googlers.
PostRank Analytics added a feature called Activity Streams which included a “FriendFeed for content”. It enabled the users to track data from a group of large data from Twitter, Digg, Delicious and many more.PostRank’s CTO and founder Ilya Grigorik posted on their official blog saying, “We are greatly pleased and excited to join Google. We sincerely believe that there exists no other company like Google that better understands the importance of engagement data and also holds a good platform for budding technocrats like us thereby enabling the internet fraternity work at ease”. Grigorik said , “ The details of the acquisition and company’s progress will be revealed in a few months”.
