Sony’s next PSP, Sony Vita

For all those PlayStation enthusiasts who have been waiting for some fresh air, here is a new product from Sony to entertain you. Sony, well known for its portable gaming devices widely called as PSPs has released a product called PlayStation Vita, a next generation portable gaming device.It was originally codenamed “NGP”, showcased at Sony’s E3 press conference in Los Angeles. Ironically, the device is a mirror image of the prototype that got leaked in the beginning of this year.
The PSP Vita has a 5 inch OLED touch screen(960 x 544 pixels) with a high resolution, rear touch controls, two analog sticks, 6-axis motion sensors and dual front-and-back-facing cameras. It is backed up with a quad-core ARM Cortex A9 processor.
It has 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity. It is also said that AT&T will serve as the exclusive 3G launch partner to PSP Vita.
The product is reportedly said to hit the market by this year end. It is priced at $249(Wi-Fi enabled) and $299(3G enabled). Here are some of the applications that you can expect from PSP Vita, LitteBIG Planet, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Street Fighter X Tekken and Ruin.
