Tell us about National Olympiad Foundation.

National Olympiad Foundation is an organization which was started with the mission to identify the future architects of Indian nation at the earliest stages of their life and to award them with the opportunity to nurture their talent. And to ensure that every academic talent is recognized and awarded across the nation through healthy competition.

How are you different from other organizations that do similar things?

We will award children with scholarships up to post graduation level. We are the only Olympiad that is conducted in both the languages Hindi and English. We avail the student with maximum number of options in term of subjects in which they can appear for the examination. The prime objective is not just to conduct the examination for the students but also help them provide with detailed analysis of their potential so that the student and his parents can make a right decision for his career ahead. We we will contribute a major amount of our profits to the NGOs working for the society.

Whats the story behind starting National Olympiad Foundation?

We felt that the current format of any organization that conducts Olympiads(the existing players) is not doing justification to a student’s talent. They merely conduct the exam and reward the student by some kind of gift like a laptop or a certificate. However we thought of promoting free education to the talented one by rewarding them with scholarships. Another reason was the approach and the division of the students. We wanted the students of all the levels without any barrier of language or board, to compete on the same platform and then show their caliber. We believe that “Talent should not be bound by the limitations of geographical boundaries or language or boards.” The amount required to startup was approx 10 Lakh.

Tell us about your background.

After being much involved in career counseling and guidance, we realized that the real talent is still undiscovered and it’s the right time to pay back to the society what we have gained from it.

Let us know about the tie-ups that you have.

Right from the beginning when NOF was just an idea, we were very clear that a part of our income will go towards the society as a gesture of philanthropy and what better could be to get associated with organizations like CRY, Teach For India & Smile .

What is your revenue model? Have you been funded?

Every time a student appears for the NOF exam he pays a fee for that. We have not been funded.

How big is your team? Are you looking at hiring?

The team consists of Sales Department, Academics Department and people in Operations. Yes, we are definitely looking for hiring.
