VIT University’s Centre for Social Entrepreneurship Development [CSED] announces the third edition of its premier social entrepreneurship competition “Social Transformers ‘11”. Applications are now open for the event which will be held during the University’s annual tech fest “GraVITas” between the 16th and 18th of September, 2011.
Social Transformers allows participants to showcase their solution to any of society’s most pressing problems to a panel of renowned judges who are experienced professionals from the industry. The winning teams get a seed fund of INR 50,000 each, an opportunity to incubate their idea with CSED-VIT and a chance to connect with a large network of resource persons, experts and advisors.
This time at ST ‘11, participants have to submit a short two-minute video depicting their idea along with the executive summary of their idea. All qualifying teams are provided with mentors to prove upon their idea, no matter how far they go in the competition; Social Transformers ‘11 provides teams with an opportunity to begin their association with the industry.Applications close on the 4th of September.
