BootStrapToday Launches V3.0 for Technology Startups

BootStrapToday Launches V3.0 for Technology Startups

Monday April 23, 2012 , 2 min Read

Founded by Anand Agarwal, Nitin Bhide and Vishwajeet Singh, Bootstraptoday launched a new version (V 3.0) yesterday. Based out of Pune, BootStrapToday offers an Application lifecycle Management platform for software companies. “BootStrapToday aims to enhance productivity of team members and a team as a whole by reducing knowledge gap and enabling effective collaboration.” says Anand.

Aiming to reduce the overall development cost of the project and help teams improve on software quality through built in intelligence and automation, this SaaS based product will allow companies to get up and running within a few minutes. Having worked at Geometric Global for 7 years, Anand was aware of the loopholes that existed if one had to startup a software company. With BootStrapToday, he has tried to offer a product to teams which will allow them to focus on the product they're developing rather than managing inconsistencies.

Key Features of the product:

  • Bug tracking software
  • Version control system
  • Timesheet

BootStrap today has a simple interface with two panes which occupy the majority of the screen. The left side control has three tabs: Users, Projects and Accounts. This is how the ticketing windows looks like:

Pricing

BootStrapToday plans starts from $9/month for a team size of 5 users. There is also a free personal plan for 2 users.

What’s new with V3.0?

The new release sees the whole client architecture undergoing a revamp. “This will enhance user experience and improve performance of the overall application.” mentions Anand. This video clearly elucidates the changes and new features.

With around 30-40% of the software project cost going into fixing bugs, cost of fixing bugs increases exponentially with the time taken to find the bug. To combat this problem, Startup Today will be adding intelligence and automation on top of data created in the project which will help in detecting bugs earlier and improve on code quality.

Thinking of starting up with that revolutionary technology idea of yours? Give BootStrapToday a spin.
