eBUILD: Software Solutions to SMBs in the Real Estate Space

Tuesday May 29, 2012 , 3 min Read

Based in the real-estate industry’s darling city of Mumbai, eBUILD Software Solutions Private Limited (ESSPL) provides complete software solutions for the real estate and construction sector. Initially starting out under the name Interactive Multimedia Technologies (IMT), the company has been providing its eBUILD ERP products since 2006. In order to cater to a highly specific market of small and medium businesses in the real estate segment, the company branched out under their current name of eBUILD Software Solutions Private Limited (ESSPL) in 2011 and have been selling their flagship product eBUILD ERP under the brand ever since.

ESSPL is part of Interactive Group, which is a quartet servicing various sectors in myriad ways. Other companies in this group are IMT, which is a web and multimedia services company, Sunshine Communications, which takes care of advertising and marketing needs and Activ8, which is into event management and interactive solutions.

Hetin Sakhuja, Managing Director of the Interactive Group, is not new to the web, having started portals like

Chunav99.com, Onlypolitics.com and YouthInn.com in the past. Although not commercially successful ventures, they proved to be a great learning experience for the young entrepreneur. Accompanied by his expertise in e-commerce ventures, his interest in technology and IT drove him to build IMT and products like Maximus and finally eBUILD. Today, Hetin’s team consists of 60 young, skilled professionals in diverse fields, and the company’s strength lies in the amalgamation of these skills.

The need for a specialized ERP product was realized when one of their clients requested them to come up with a CRM application to manage and monitor their sales and marketing activities. Hence, eBUILD ERP was born, leveraging technologies such as Microsoft’s robust .NET framework known for its stringent security measures. This being their flagship product, ESSPL’s business model includes product development, product customization, maintenance, post implementation services and training services. The software is made up of several discrete components and hence presents the possibility of scaling easily along with expert customer service. Thanks to the nature of the product, eBUILD earns revenue through direct sales, channel sales and resellers. This also eliminates the need for external funding, as product sales generate the required capital to take care of current needs and future expansion plans.

As part of their future expansion plans, eBUILD plans to offer cloud-based services in its eBUILD ERP product along with a subscription based system. They also wish to expand their outreach by providing client-specific services and cater to international markets by using a multi-currency / multi-lingual approach.
