Valuehire: A SaaS/Cloud Offering for Placement and Executive Search Agencies

Valuehire: A SaaS/Cloud Offering for Placement and Executive Search Agencies

Tuesday May 29, 2012 , 3 min Read

Founded by Dhruv Gupta, Valuehire is a SaaS/Cloud offering (i.e. its 100% web-based) for placement and executive search agencies. Valuehire helps agencies automate, standardize and track their workflows and activities from CRM to Invoicing. Having worked in IT for over a decade primarily in project / product management with an MBA in Strategy, Dhruv founded and started up Valuehire under the mentorship of Professor Nandini Vaidyanathan from Carma. Also an SLP-Delhi Fellow, Dhruv has a small team in Noida that works on Valuehire.

The UI is of the utmost essence while talking about something like Valuehire.“Based on our previous experiences, UI design best practices, and examples of well designed applications we wanted to build something that looks nice and is very usable. We went through a highly iterative process that took a few weeks and involved inputs from the team and potential customers to come up with our final product design.” explains Dhruv.

Star Features

  • Intuitive Dashboard
  • CRM module
  • Candidate Tracker which tracks a candidate from the New to Joined stage
  • Resume database management system
  • Administration module
The product was officially launched on May 1, 2012 after almost a year in development and a 3 month beta phase. “The pricing of the product was decided after market research on recruitment and other SaaS products. We plan to explore different pricing strategies as we grow.” informs Dhruv. Valuehire follows a per user per month pricing model and there is also an option to pay for additional storage / emails. There is no freemium plan.

Since launch, Valuehire has already acquired a few customers and Dhruv believes that so far directly approaching potential customers seems to work. “There are several other online and offline marketing strategies that we plan to try out in the coming months.” he informs.

Valuehire is not the first recruitment software product in the market but we are among the first with a true SaaS / Cloud offering – and this needs to be emphasized through our development and sales efforts. “Also many agencies are beginning to see benefits of using the cloud and a lot is being written about cloud in the media, so that's a positive sign for us,” says Dhruv when it comes to overcoming obstacles.

Targeting small to medium placement and executive search agencies in India currently, Valuehire plans to look at other markets segments in the future. “Our product development process from the very beginning has been driven by customer feedback and we will continue to develop new features and products for them. There has also been interest from international agencies and corporates but it’s a bit premature to discuss that at this stage.” says Dhruv as he signs off.
