5By7 Uses its Creative Genius to Churn Out Well-Designed Corporate Gifts

Speaking to YourStory, Piyush said that they started the company doing printed products but realized that there was a huge market for corporate gifts. Identifying the lack of creativity and quality ideas in business gifts, 5By7 decided to move into gifts and products that reflected the client company's brand and environment. A perfect blend of design meeting solid execution, 5By7 has evolved a detailed procedure to come up with designs, shortlist products and finally manufacture those products. “We call this our innovation engine. Also, it's not just enough to design good products, since there are tons of young designer brands today. It's also important to support this with excellent sales and servicing, and we're pretty good at both creation and execution.” says Piyush, and rightly so.

5By7's design expertise is courtesy a Colombian, Camila Meija who joined the team via AIESEC and took on the responsibility to lead the design team. Having highly qualified and talented people on-board is very important at 5By7, reflected by the fact that they've had people from Poland, Brazil, China and France other than Colombia, working with them.

Two of their most popular and hottest selling gift items are custom shaped USB drives, done in a shape and colour as per the brand's specification, and custom made diaries branded with the company's logo. The attention to detail and fantastic execution of the design concepts has led them to grabbing some very prominent clients in a very short span of time. Microsoft, Apollo, Marriot, The Leela, Indigo are just some of the names that come to mind. “We rarely have a meeting in which the client does not go 'Wow'”, says Piyush. “Our design oriented products, smart idea selling and execution work really well for clients.”

Quizzed on their future expansion plans, 5By7 has started an office in France few weeks back, and are aiming to go national with an office in Mumbai and Bangalore coming very soon.
