British Council opens Applications for Young Creative Entrepreneur Award 2012
United Kingdom's international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations, the British Council has announced the Young Creative Entrepreneur 2012 Awards in the sectors of YCE Design for Social Impact and YCE Digital for Creative Industries.
The Young Creative Entrepreneur Awards have been running since 2005, the Award is open to Indian entrepreneurs between 21 and 40 years old with at least 2 to 3 years of experience, working within these creative industries in India.
Apart from recognition, YCE aims to reward them for their contribution to their respective sectors and provide them a platform to begin a dialogue with their UK counterparts. The winners from each sector will go on a study tour of their respective industry to the UK. They will get to interact with industry leaders in the UK and play an important role in increasing collaborative opportunities between the UK and India. They also get to attend a relevant trade event that helps broaden their horizon along with winners from other countries.
entrepreneur would be either London Book Fair or London Film Festival or Power to the Pixel while for the design entrepreneur would be London Design Festival and the London Fashion Week.
