If you are an social enterprise based in India, you have the opportunity to participate in the IDEX Accelerator Program. IDEX Accelerator (IDEX) is a professional development program for aspiring social enterprise practitioners. IDEX places talented Fellows with enterprises that are applying innovation and seeking social impact to the world’s most pressing issues—such as access to quality education, capital, clean energy, sanitation, water as well as protecting the environment and providing access to affordable housing or healthcare for underserved populations. The program’s goal is to connect enterprises to global and local Fellows who aspire to gain experience in the social enterprise sector while contributing their intellect, technical skills and experience to advancing their organization’s mission. Since launching in 2010, we have placed over 100 fellows with enterprises, NGOs, institutions, associations and social entrepreneurs in India.
WHAT DO IDEX FELLOWS DO?
IDEX Fellows are matched and placed in pairs with social enterprises in the sub-sectors of education, finance, agriculture, energy, health and water. In short, Fellows use their education and skills to address social and economic challenges for underserved populations. Social Enterprises hosting fellows are expected to cover some nominal costs to cover the fellow’s living expenses.
More details are available in this PDF: IDEX Accelerator SE Brochure.pdf. Better even, you can head straight to the IDEX Accelerator Website to start your application to host fellows in your organization. We understand that the deadline is fast approaching.
