Announcing The Illustrious Speaker Lineup for eSparks 2013
Either you’re gung-ho or pessimistic, but you cannot be indifferent to eCommerce, especially in India. It’s been a roller coaster ride in the past few years, but we believe eCommerce in Indian can only grow. There are some amazing businesses being built around online shopping and as a platform to showcase such discoveries, we bring to you the second edition of eSparks 2013 on this Friday, February 16 at Hotel Royal Orchid in Bangalore.
We received a deluge of applications from companies and had a tough time shortlisting the final 15 to be unveiled this Friday. Gracing the occasion is an amazing lineup of speakers and panelists for the event. Here’s an introduction:
Bharati Jacob, Founding Partner, Seedfund
Bharati is the founder- partner of Seedfund based in Bangalore. She brings over 24 years of diverse and rich experience in venture investing, marketing and financial services.
Karthee Madasamy, Managing Director, Qualcomm Ventures
Karthee is Managing Director, India and Israel at Qualcomm Ventures and is based in Bangalore, India. Karthee currently manages and actively serves as a board observer for Qualcomm Ventures investments in Apalya, MapMyIndia, Kirusa, Tessolve and Waze.
Subrata Mitra, Partner – Accel Partners
Subrata focuses on technology and Internet investing. Subrata has served on the boards of Small Device (now a part of Digital Chocolate) and Mu Sigma, and he is currently on the boards of Perfint, Flipkart, Myntra and enStage.
Shailendra Singh, Managing Director – Sequoia Capital India
Shailendra is the Managing Director at Sequoia Capital India. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, Shailendra was a strategy consultant at Bain & Company in New York.

Saran Chatterjee is Vice President of Product Management at Flipkart.com. Before this he worked for Yahoo! in Sunnyvale, CA where he led a team of product managers to drive search monetization and distribution.
Vivek Prabhakar, Founder & Director – Chumbak Design
Vivek is the founder and director at Chumbak Designs Pvt. Ltd. He has 15 years experience in various brand and retail marketing roles. Vivek was part of the initial brand team responsible for turning around jewellery brand Tanishq.
