[Exclusive] Serial entrepreneur launches CruxLight - a tool to make reading on the web easier
Cruxlight uses artificial intelligence algorithms to automatically highlight the most important concepts on a web page. Cruxlight siphons through content of the page, figure out what’s most important and presents it to the user succinctly. Not only this, user can increase or decrease the length of the summary, depending on how much information she requires. It also mentions important keywords separately. When user clicks on these keywords, the point of view of the summary changes accordingly.
Cruxlight is powered by CruxBot engine which uses algorithms to remove the unwanted information and gives the user the exact information he is searching for. “In simple words its a tool that will ditch away trash and give us the ‘Hell yeah! That’s what I want’ kind of information,” says Nirmit Parikh, co-Founder and CEO, Cruxbot.
The idea came about when Nirmit and his friend were arguing about issues faced by people while surfing the internet and the reams of information he is presented with when searching for something. “As a user searches for information moving from one page to the other, a considerable amount of time is lost. This is the pain point we’re aiming to address with Cruxlight,” says Nirmit.
Nirmit is a serial entrepreneur and a technology enthusiast. Before CruxBot, Nirmit founded Incone Technologies, a startup in the field of hydropower automation and was also selected as the Top 50 Global Shapers by World Economic Forum. Tanmay Desai, cofounder & COO and looks after operations, finance & technology. Assisting Nirmit and Tanmay are a team of five members with expertise in differnt areas. Nirmit has also been assisted by Ade Mabogunje, a Stanford researcher, whom YourStory interviewed some time back.
In a way, this space has been explored by Summly App for the iPhone. Summly delivers short summaries of online content like news, articles, etc. Whereas Cruxlight highlights the content that's relevant based upon the user preferences.
