NewVem is one of the hot cloud startups based in Tel Aviv, Israel. They support monitoring AWS usage, providing alerts, role based views (System Admin vs CIO) and recommendations for optimization. Most recently they added heat map visualization of your cloud usage. Please note that only AWS is supported as of now.
MetricsHub is one
of the most recent entrant cloud monitoring solutions and also the one that got acquired very quickly by Microsoft. They provide monitoring and auto scaling. By using historic usage details, they are able to scale up or down in a predictive way.
With cloud, you assume shared responsibility. You need to track your usage, just by moving to cloud is not going to magically save you money. However, you have help - Use wisely and Save!
