Chat live while watching TV: iCouch partners with Zee Cafe

The makers of the utility app iDubba that allows you improve your TV viewing experience has come up with iCouch. A separate app, iCouch falls more under entertainment and allows users to chat around a show. These chat rooms are created by iCouch and the first one would be live today at 9.30 PM for the Grey's Anatomy which starts at 10.iCouch has partnered with Zee Cafe for this and the channel will have a ticker running for the show. iCouch will enable the user to read and like popular chat and get heard by other fans watching the program. It'll also throw up interesting facts and trivia about a show, will allow users to invite friends and send them alerts, play contests and win prizes.

This is a good partnership for iDubba in terms of visibility and taking the product to the masses. iDubba is a Morpheus Gang company and has also raised investment from Rajan Anandan, Seeders and Srikant Sastri. 

Recently, they'd also launched iTRP's- an alternate way of measuring TRP's (which traditionally are badly measured). iDubba is the brain child of Rabi Gupta and they're are a 8 member team based out of NCR. (read their story).
