[Infographic] Some cool data on Mumbai Real Estate from Housing.co.in's Data Sciences Labs

Looks like Housing.co.in's Data Sciences Lab is beginning to show some results. The company raised $2.5 million from Nexus Venture Partners last month to fund the operations of the data science labs. The last time we spoke to folks at Housing.co.in, head of the data sciences lab, Mr. Abhimanyu Dhamija shared that they would be looking to put out products like Lifestyle rating (which would give a property a score based on its facilities and locality) along with research reports of land values and trends in the real estate market of a locality.

Today marks the release of the latter; the Housing.co.in team has shared an infographic which has culled out and crunched data from its operations in Mumbai to provide a unique insight into the real estate market of India's financial capital. The data has been derived from over 5000 flat listing from the city and has measured and quantified as many as 14 parameters. These parameters include basic things such a percentage of negotiable flats and availability of swimming pool to very specific, insightful trends such average ratio of security deposit to rent and resale value per square feet.
